At The Better Weigh Center our focus is to educate patients about the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle. By working with patients on improving their diets, educating about eating triggers and urges, and encouraging regular physical activity, we know our team can help lead patients to long-term success.
Each patient meets with a licensed, bariatric trained dietician not only before surgery, but after surgery as well. Our licensed dietitian has more than five years experience counseling bariatric patients on the dietary changes that are necessary to make patients successful. In our clinic, our dietary teaching revolves around what we call a “Sustainable Lifestyle”. That’s because every food or drink you can think of can fit into a healthy lifestyle if it is done in the right frequency and quantity. We don’t believe in “good foods” or “bad foods” but we definitely believe in good choices and bad choices! Our goal is to give you the skill and the knowledge to make good choices most of the time.
As part of our program we provide the following services:
- General nutritional education
- Insurance mandated diet visits
- Individual dietary counseling
- Dietary education for each specific surgical procedure
- Pre and post-op classes
Our dietitian will work to develop a dietary plan that fits your individual preferences to help you overcome your weight loss challenges and pave the road for long-term success .
